FEXCO Business Services, who produce Ireland’s ‘Certificate of Irish Heritage’, is to create 60 jobs in Killorglin, Co Kerry. RTE 30 September
Financial services firm Japan Research Institute America is to set up a software development operation in Tralee creating 100 skilled jobs. Irish Examiner 30 September

PwC is to create 247 jobs in Northern Ireland by developing three new centres of excellence at its Belfast headquarters. Irish Times 30 September

Financial company Capita has announced more than 300 new jobs in Belfast over the next four years. The new jobs will include management and supervisory positions. Irish Times 27 September

Business information company Dun & Bradstreet is expanding its Dublin operations with the creation of 75 jobs. Positions include researchers, software developers, analysts and support staff. RTE 27 September

PwC is to recruit almost 300 new staff. 250 of these will be part of its graduate recruitment programme; another 40 are for professionally qualified people to fill ‘strategic roles’ across the company. Most of the new jobs for professionals will be in its Dublin office. Irish Independent 26 September

Audi Waterford has announced the creation of 30 new jobs over the next two years. Inside Ireland 21 September

Saltworks are looking to employ 50 drivers over the winter to salt private, residential and commercial car parks in Northern Ireland. Inside Ireland 21 September

Global outsourcing provider Arvato is to create 150 positions in its finance division in Dublin. Irish Times 21 September

Recruitment firm Sigmar is to create 50 new jobs over the next year. RTE 7 September

Deloitte is to offer 215 positions for graduates in the Dublin, Cork and Limerick offices. RTE 5 September

Galway-based outsourced sales company SalesSense International is to create 65 new posts. Irish Times 5 September

Construction

Google is to invest in a new energy efficient data centre in west Dublin. Some 200 jobs will be created with the construction of the centre. Irish Times 30 September

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show that on an annual basis, the Construction industry has declined by 23.4% in the second quarter of 2011 compared to the same time last year. RTE 23 September

Distribution

Allied Logistics part of distribution and energy group DCC, is planning to cut its workforce by 175. Irish Times 15 September

ICT

30 jobs, including computer technicians, electrical and mechanical engineers, will be created when Google’s new data centre in Dublin is up and running. Irish Times 30 September

Dublin based AMPAC-ISP is to develop the next generation of rocket engine technologies creating 15 new jobs. Irish Examiner 29 September

Gaming company Bioware Ireland has announced a state of art customer service centre in Galway creating 200 new jobs. Irish Independent 26 September

Social networking company Twitter is to establish an international office in Dublin. The company is to begin recruiting immediately for roles in finance, user support and marketing. RTE 26 September

IT solutions provider Datapac has announced it is to open a new office in Cork creating 20 new jobs. Inside Ireland 23 September
Indian IT services company HCL Technologies is to establish a new software business in Dublin which will create 80 jobs over the next three years. Irish Times 21 September

250 jobs will be created at cloud computing firm VMware in Co Cork over the next three years. Most of the jobs will be for high value customer support and sales specialists. RTE 15 September

Fort Technologies in Dublin is to create 10 software jobs. Irish Times 2 September

Between 500 and 600 jobs are in jeopardy at Irish subsidiaries of online poker business Full Tilt after its Channel Island regulator withdrew the group’s licences. Irish Times 30 September

575 jobs are being lost in Waterford with the closure of the Talk Talk call centre. RTE 7 September

Food/drink

Coca-Cola opened its new manufacturing and innovation plant in Wexford, which will employ 100 people. 65 workers have already been recruited. The company also announced the expansion of its business in Drogheda, and the creation of up to 100 new positions. RTE 16 September

Healthcare

Up to 130 jobs are to created with the opening of a new nursing home in Dublin. Cara Care Centre is recruiting for a range of positions, including nurses, care assistants, receptionists, kitchen and housekeeping. RTE 8 September

Bluebird Care, which provides non-medical services in the home, is to create 25 jobs in Dublin. The new positions will primarily be for care staff in addition to supervisory and management roles. RTE 1 September

Medical/pharmaceutical

Biotrin, the molecular diagnostic group, has opened its new Dublin R&D centre which will see 40 new jobs created over the next few years. Inside Ireland 27 September

35 new jobs are to be created at a medical devices company CareFusion in Co Galway. RTE 1 September

Medical products company Carl Zeiss has announced it is to end manufacturing activities in Wexford with the loss of 82 jobs. RTE 30 September

Merrion Pharmaceuticals has announced plans for 20 redundancies at its Citywest headquarters. RTE 2 September
Medical devices firm Covidien in Athlone is to transfer the manufacturing line for one of its products to Thailand with losses of about 100 jobs. Irish Times 30 September

Retail

Brown Thomas is looking to hire 150 new staff over the Christmas period. The temporary positions are in various areas including sales and sales support, beauty consultants and cashiers, as well as stockroom personnel. Business & Leadership 27 September
