Hibernia College would like to announce the launch of the Higher Diploma in Arts in Post Primary Education (HDAPPE).

The HDAPPE is accredited by HETAC (the Higher Education and Training Awards Council) and approved by the Teaching Council of Ireland. The programme will be delivered over two academic years across a range of subjects.

Modelled on the Higher Diploma in Arts in Primary Education programme, the HDAPPE is aimed at degree holders who wish to train as second-level teachers. The programme will be delivered using the latest web-based learning technology and includes downloadable, multimedia-enhanced lectures, live online tutorials and access to an extensive online library. The programme’s onsite tutorials will take place during selected weekends at various locations around the country and students will also complete three blocks of school experience and professional practice.

Hibernia College is now taking applications for the autumn 2011 intake.
